According to the head of the Water Department in Harsin County, two villages not covered by the county’s water services will benefit from the provision of clean and sustainable drinking water with the assistance of the “Aziz Shokri Charity”. As reported by the Public Relations Office of the Kermanshah Province Water and Wastewater Company, Sadegh Azizi, the head of the Water Department in Harsin County, explained that the foundation has been collaborating since the beginning of this year to provide water to villages not covered by the provincial water company. They initiated this collaboration by providing a mobile tanker for water supply to villages in the Gohvareh region. The head of the Water and Wastewater Department in Harsin County stated that, for this purpose, members of the board of trustees of the ” Aziz Shokri Charityi,” along with officials from the Kermanshah Province Water and Wastewater Company, will convene on Monday, 2nd of Aban.

The head of water and wastewater affairs of Harsin County stated: “For this purpose, the members of the board of directors of the ‘Aziz Shokri Charity,’ along with the officials of the Kermanshah Water and Wastewater Company, visited the two non-covered villages of Qeshlaq-e Beznabad and Qaleh Ganjavan on Sunday, October 24, 2021, to closely examine the situation of these villages.”

Azizi stated: “Providing the residents of Qeshlaq-e Beznabad village with safe and sustainable drinking water requires actions such as improving the village spring, constructing two reservoirs between the spring and the main reservoir to prevent health threats, and laying 200 meters of pipeline from the spring to the storage reservoir.” The access to drinking water in two villages of Harsin County Additionally, water supply to Qaleh Ganjavan village requires laying 400 meters of pipeline from the spring to the village’s water storage reservoir.

This official emphasized: “We hope this important task will be achieved with the support of the ‘Aziz Shokri Charity’ enabling these villages, with a population of over 250 people, to benefit from clean and sustainable drinking water.”

Azizi concluded by requesting the residents of the county to take the issue of drought and the reduction of drinking water supply sources seriously and to cooperate with the water and wastewater affairs of Harsin County by managing their water consumption properly.

It is worth mentioning that Harsin County, with 21,404 water and wastewater subscribers and a population of over 85,000 people, is located 50 kilometers from Kermanshah.
