The 22nd International Environment Exhibition was held from December 19 to December 22, 2024, at the Permanent Exhibition Center (Shahr-e-Aftab) in Tehran.
The 22nd edition of the Environment Exhibition was held at the Shahr-e-Aftab Exhibition Center, with widespread participation from companies and environmental sector professionals. This year’s exhibition saw significant progress in showcasing industrial models that comply with environmental standards. A total of 225 companies and brands exhibited their products and achievements in an area covering over 16,000 square meters.
During these visits, prominent figures such as Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Deputy Strategic President, Fatemeh Mohajerani, the government spokesperson, Shina Ansari, the head of the Department of Environment, Mehdi Pirhadi, a member of the Tehran City Council and the Health and Environment Committee, visited the Bisotoun Steel booth.
During these visits, the officials and experts at the exhibition, given the remarkable activities of the company in the field of environmental protection, became closely acquainted with the environmental initiatives undertaken by Bisotoun Steel. They especially asked questions regarding the company’s efforts in reducing pollutants, waste management, and the optimal use of natural resources.
Environmental experts and industry professionals also visited the Bisotoun Steel booth, where they exchanged views on the company’s environmental initiatives and its new equipment for reducing pollutants, industrial wastewater treatment plants, waste management, and recycling waste in the steel industry.
Dr. Shina Ansari, the head of the Department of Environment, and Mehdi Pirhadi, a member of the Tehran City Council, praised the continuous and impactful efforts of Bisotoun Steel in preserving the environment and fulfilling its social responsibilities. The company has taken effective steps in reducing air pollution, preserving water resources, and minimizing industrial waste through the use of modern technologies and creative solutions in the steel industry.
The organization of this exhibition, as one of the most important environmental exhibitions in the country, has played a significant role in introducing modern industrial models. The presence of the First Vice President and the Deputy Minister of Health at the opening ceremony of the exhibition highlights the growing importance of environmental issues at the national level. One of the prominent features of this edition was the participation of provincial pavilions, with companies from various industries, including food and steel, showcasing their products that adhere to high environmental standards through optimized production processes. This reflects the growing awareness and attention to various environmental issues within the industrial sector.
During these visits, it was emphasized that reducing air pollution and promoting solar energy development are top priorities in the government’s agenda.
