Iran’s national boys’ tennis team claimed the championship title at the West Asia Under-12 Tournament with a dominant performance, defeating Saudi Arabia in the final match. The competition was held from April 20 to 25, 2025, in Amman, the capital of Jordan, and featured the top eight teams of the region, including Iran, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain, and Oman.
The Iranian national team lineup in this tournament included Amirhossein (Sam) Hasani from Bisotoun Steel Club in Kermanshah, Roozbeh Aghababai, and Ashkan Sotoodehnia. The team competed under the guidance of head coach Mirhossein Esfandiari and team manager Akbar Rajabi.

Amirhossein Hasani, a talented and promising tennis player from Bisotoun Steel Club and a member of Iran’s national boys’ tennis team, played a key role in the team’s championship run with his outstanding performance and the highest number of victories. His brilliance in all matches earned him the prestigious title of Best Player of the Tournament, making the young athlete from Kermanshah one of the standout figures of this year’s regional competition.
The presence of Amir Barghaei, ITF Development Officer for West and Central Asia and a member of the Board of the Iran Tennis Federation, added to the significance and prestige of this regional event.
In recognition of this valuable achievement and to honor the sports champions of the province, an official ceremony was held on Tuesday, May 7, 2025, at the Kermanshah Provincial Sports and Youth Department. The event, attended by Dr. Hatami, Head of the General Directorate of Physical Education, local sports officials, and managers of Bisotoun Steel Club, was organized to celebrate Amirhossein Hasani’s success.
