Bisotoun steel Company Takes a New Step in Upgrading Pollution Control Systems

Within the framework of development programs and environmental performance enhancement initiatives at Bisotoun Steel Company, a large-scale operation involving the replacement and installation of more than one thousand dust collector filters across the production units was successfully completed in full compliance with specialized steel industry standards. This project is considered one of the key initiatives in the modernization and strengthening of the plant’s air pollution control systems and is expected to significantly reduce particulate emissions.

The operation was planned and executed with the objectives of reducing emitted pollutants, improving the efficiency of filtration systems, and creating a healthier working environment for employees. The project implementation process included detailed technical inspections of worn-out filters, safe dismantling procedures, replacement with new filters, and post-installation operational testing. All stages were carried out by the company’s specialized mechanical team in full accordance with safety protocols and standard requirements.

The newly installed filters are made of advanced industrial fiber materials with high resistance to heat and corrosion. Owing to their high absorption capacity and low-pressure drop characteristics, they enhance the efficiency of the dust collection system and significantly improve the quality of air discharged from the stacks. These upgrades have not only reduced suspended particles and airborne pollutants, but have also extended the service life of equipment and substantially lowered maintenance and repair costs.

The implementation of this project marks an important step toward compliance with Environmental Protection Organization standards and the realization of the company’s sustainable development policies. Through the execution of environmental initiatives, Bisotoun Steel Company has once again reaffirmed its responsible approach toward protecting the regional environment, safeguarding the rights of future generations, and minimizing the environmental impacts of industrial processes.

Bisotoun Steel Company has stated that the development and modernization of environmental protection equipment will remain one of the organization’s primary strategic priorities, and that similar projects will continue as part of the ongoing modernization of its production lines.
