At the ceremony commemorating National Industry and Mine Day in Kermanshah Province, the “Prominent Figure in the Province’s Industry” award was presented to Mr. Jahanbakhsh Shokri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shokri Industrial Group and President of the Kermanshah House of Industry, Mining and Trade, in recognition of his years of effective contribution, pioneering efforts, and leadership in the province’s industrial and manufacturing sectors.
The ceremony was held on Thursday, September 10, with the participation of Dr. Manouchehr Habibi, Governor of Kermanshah; Dr. Abdolreza Mesri, Representative of Kermanshah Province; Mr. Abdolvahab Sahlabadi, President of the Iran House of Industry, Mining and Trade; Mr. Jahanbakhsh Shokri, President of the Kermanshah House of Industry, Mining and Trade; members of the Kermanshah House of Industry, Mining and Trade Board of Directors; Dr. Rostamzad, Deputy Governor for Economic Affairs; representatives of the people of Kermanshah in the Islamic Consultative Assembly; executives of government agencies; labor and employers’ associations; and a number of industrialists and mine operators from the province. The ceremony was held at the conference hall of the Kermanshah Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
During the ceremony, Mr. Jahanbakhsh Shokri was honored as one of the influential and pioneering figures in the province’s industrial sector and received the “Prominent Figure in Kermanshah Province’s Industry” award. The recognition reflects his longstanding and influential role in production, entrepreneurship, and the industrial development of the province.
With nearly seven decades of economic and industrial activity in Kermanshah, the Shokri Industrial Group comprises specialized companies and business units operating across various fields, including manufacturing, steel, engineering, transportation, and industrial services. With a presence across different segments of the production value chain, the group is regarded as one of the province’s long-established industrial enterprises.
Bisotoun Steel is one of the core companies of the Shokri Industrial Group, operating in the production of direct reduced iron (DRI), steel billets, and alloy steel billets. With its production capacities and related infrastructure, the company covers an important part of the group’s steel value chain.
Jahan Foulad Gharb is another industrial company within the Shokri Industrial Group, engaged in the production of steel products and hot-rolled sections, including I-beams, channels, and angles, and plays a role in Iran’s steel production value chain.
Sima Foulad Jahan, another manufacturing company within the Shokri Industrial Group, is a producer and exporter of rebar in western Iran. With a presence in both domestic and export markets, the company accounts for part of the group’s steel product manufacturing capacity.
Jahan Sanat Kermanshah, a knowledge-based company, operates in the manufacturing of industrial machinery and equipment. Leveraging its engineering expertise, equipment manufacturing capabilities, and reverse-engineering approach, the company plays an important role in meeting the technical and equipment needs of the industrial sector.
In transportation and logistics, Jahan Bar Foulad, another company within the Shokri Industrial Group, is responsible for part of the transportation and logistical support activities across the production chain.
Taken together, these capabilities have transformed the Shokri Industrial Group into a diversified enterprise with a presence across various segments of the industrial and manufacturing value chain, from steel production and equipment manufacturing to transportation and industrial services. Over nearly seven decades of activity, the group has contributed to the development of part of Kermanshah Province’s industrial capacity and employment base.
