As part of its efforts to modernize production processes, improve operational efficiency, and achieve its environmental objectives, Bisotoun Steel Complex has announced the commissioning of a fully automated metal scrap baling machine. This advanced equipment, which incorporates modern technologies, represents an important step toward cleaner production and more efficient energy consumption.
What distinguishes this unit from similar systems is the integration of a screening and smart sorting system before the baling stage. In this process, metal scrap is precisely screened before entering the machine, and only pure ferrous metals are selected for baling. This measure eliminates impurities that could generate polluting gases and environmentally harmful substances during the melting process.
In addition to significantly reducing emissions, this technology improves the quality of the raw materials entering the furnaces, creating the conditions for higher production efficiency and improved final steel quality.

Furthermore, the new baling machine, reportedly the first of its kind in the country, is equipped with two 55-kilowatt inverters, a feature that plays an important role in managing energy consumption. The smart system allows the machine to enter standby mode when baling operations are not required, thereby preventing unnecessary electricity consumption.
Other benefits of this advanced technology include lower energy costs, reduced pump wear and tear, extended equipment service life, and improved stability of the production process.
The commissioning of this advanced unit demonstrates Bisotoun Steel Complex’s commitment to sustainable industrial development, environmental protection, and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies in Iran’s steel industry. This approach is expected to contribute to improved production quality, higher efficiency, and the fulfillment of green production requirements.
